Wine Tour in Chianti's Cellars

After a lesurely drive through the astonishing Chianti Classico landscape, your first stop will be in an attractive Chianti village (Greve or Radda in Chianti) to see the sights and to shop for local specialties and handicrafts, including a visit to one of Tuscany’s most famous butcher shops for a tasting of his hams and salamis.
You will then be guided to an exclusive winery in an historical castle or Villa, one rated highly by the most influential European and American wine publications, where you’ll visit the cellars. The expert and the winery owner or manager will introduce you to the world of wine and wine-making, to its history and to its legends.
A tasting of the winerye’s products will follow. Besides the wines you may also taste some fine extra virgin olive oil. By this time you’ll be ready for a tasty lunch in a representative Tuscan restaurant. In the afternoon, a visit to another excellent winery.
You will now begin to understand the range of aromas and flavours that Chianti Classico wines have to offer and compare styles and techniques. If you prefer and depending on where you are staying, the tour can include a further stop to a winery or a visit to a historical hamlet or point of interest before returning to your hotel or villa.
